Effect of Fitomag

Fitomag disables the biological process of maturation and aging of the fruits by blocking the receptors with the active substance 1-methylcyclopropene. Inhibition of endocarpic biosynthesis of ethylene, α-farnesene, products of its oxidation, reduction of respiratory rate, enzymatic activity, decomposition of chlorophyll and other metabolic processes occurs.

The active ingredient for processing fruits and vegetables is gaseous 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), obtained from Fitomag in portable generators at the place of use.

Processing of the fruit should be carried out before putting it into storage or transporting it in a refrigerated airtight chamber (concentration of the active component in the atmosphere of the chamber is 0.5-1.0 ppm) at a temperature of +1 - 2 ° C for 24 hours no later than in 2-7 days after harvesting.

After such processing, the fruits can be transported to consumers without losses or be stored in coolers with a normal or regulated atmosphere until the next harvest.

Fitomag is safe for human health and the environment in applied concentrations. Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) approved Fitomag application.

The results of the tests have shown high efficiency of Fitomag application.

About Fitomag

Since 2005 Fitomag has specialized in introducing Fitomag’s post-harvest technology of fruit and vegetable production.

Fitomag has been improving its Fitomag technology for 12 years. The company’s top priority is to improve the performance of existing storage technologies, provide guaranteed protection from various physiological and fungal diseases, preserve the quality of fruit during transportation until it reaches the consumer.

Fitomag has over 40 unique specialists, many of which hold scientific degrees.

The company features three laboratories for research, development and testing of new techniques as well as the analysis of control samples.

Fitomag specialists accompany customers at all stages of production: from the moment crops begin to bloom to the harvesting and until it is placed into storage.
